Caylin Stinson was born and raised in Memphis, TN. She completed recruit training at 4 th Recruit Training Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina, in February 2016. Following recruit training, Private First Class Stinson attended Marine Combat Training at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. She also attended Ground Supply School at Camp Johnson and was assigned the military occupation specialty of supply inventory specialist. In May 2016 Private First Class Stinson reported to 2 nd Supply Battalion in Camp Lejeune, NC. There she reported toduty as a squad leader. She was promoted to Lance Corporal in November 2016. In January 2017 Lance Corporal Stinson was then assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 8 where she held the billet of Supply Specialist. She deployed with her unit on a special purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force to Italy, Romania, and Spain where she served as an organic and intermediate supply specialist. She was awarded a sea service ribbon. In 2018 Lance Corporal Stinson returned to 2nd Supply Battalion and was promoted to the rank of Corporal and held the billet as the training noncommissioned officer for Supply Company. In 2019 Corporal Stinson was selected to hold to billet of noncommissioned officer in charge of storage platoon. She was awarded a meritorious service medal. In 2020 Corporal Stinson was selected to hold to billet of noncommissioned officer in charge of flams platoon. November 2020 Corporal Stinson was medically retired from the United States Marine Corps.
